Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is a series of private yoga sessions specifically tailored to help meet the needs of students with injuries and chronic conditions. Yoga Therapy is a complement to other healing therapies and not a substitute. After a thorough assessment, Amy will thoughtfully develop a personalized treatment plan. Sessions don’t always look like yoga classes…they include breath work, yoga poses, meditation, and specialized therapeutic movements with balls, bands, blocks, and chairs. Yoga Therapy deals with the whole student — physical, mental, and spiritual — to help facilitate deeper and longer-lasting healing.
Unlike PT that addresses a specific injury site, Yoga Therapy looks at the whole person from their feet to the crown of their head. Based on the Yoga Therapy model, feet need to be open and aligned in order for your whole body to be in alignment. Amy will take a whole-body approach to developing your plan.
Yoga Therapy is all about teaching and helping people help themselves to live the best they can with whatever therapeutic modality they may need.
