Trick or treat – what are you going to do this Halloween?
Let’s use Halloween as a reason to get out of my comfort zone and have some fun. While I don’t plan on putting on a costume – other than a pair of orange and black leggings! I do enjoy a good party and hanging out with friends.
However, I am going to add something thoughtful to my “to do” list for the last day of October, I am going to ask myself how many times I treated myself and tricked myself during the month. How many times did I treat myself or tell myself a story to trick myself into doing something that I maybe I was on the edge about. This exercise is like taking a personal inventory of how I have played trick or treat with myself this year.
I guess that many of us use December 31st as the day to begin a self-inventory in preparation for the new year. Well, imagine if you look at the year and take a snap shot it today as the first step in putting together your plan that can be filled a lot of treats, mindful tricks and a sense of accomplishment, achievement and smart choices about the way you eat, exercise, engage and be for the remainder of the year and into next with lessons learned from the past and a wide view of where you are headed. Have a happy Halloween.
Namesta.
