Sneak a little fall flavor into your morning granola! This homemade recipe is perfect for chilly mornings.
Ingredients
5 Cups of rolled oats
1 Cup raw almonds
1 Cup raw cashew bits
1 Cup raw pepitas
1 Cup raw sunflower seeds
1 Cup Chai seeds
1 Cup ground flax seed
1 1/2 cups of berry medley
1 Cup of water
1 1/4 Cup of organic maple syrup
1 teaspoon or a bit more of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
Preparation
Mix together all of the dry ingredients and add the cinnamon, and if you’d like a pinch of salt.
In a separate bowl add the water and maple syrup and whisk together, then add the berry medley and vanilla extract.
In a very large bowl, pour the dry ingredients and wet ingredients and mix together very well.
Take out 2 large cookie sheets: line with parchment paper and spread out the mixture, not too thick, just about an 1″ or so thick (If too thick it won’t all cook through)
Put in oven at 350 degrees for about 20 – 23 minutes, then pull out, take a spatula and unstick the bottom of the granola to move it around a little, Then put back in the over for another 20 minutes.
Take out and let cool, and viola, you have a lot of granola!!
